First off, let me just say that I'm not taking the current events and using them to push

this agenda of the advice that I'm going to give you. That's not the point of this video.

I actually thought about this topic but it escaped my mind. Several weeks ago I wanted to do a video on it and just because I think that we always need guidance on how we're approaching this job and how to avoid certain things.

And let's face facts.

A lot of things that occur are inadvertent,

they're unintentional, and they're mainly

because of a lack of training at times,

but maybe even some thought and perspective.

Maybe sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we are in an environment where

maybe not the right thing is being encouraged all the time and I want to always

encourage people to be a independent thinker outside of the realm that you work in

right you know be an independent thinker if you you, question the things that are going on and think about your independent thinking. But let me give you a policy that has worked for me very well and it took me time to figure it out because I didn't have good perspective. I was taught about empathy as a young new police officer. It's very young I didn't have a lot of time on this earth. I got on the job when I was 19 years old and I'm driven on the things that I did that I wish I didn't had done in the past to come and try

to emphasize everybody else that hey here's some good thoughts and advice I wish somebody when I was 21 had told me this at that time.

process who I became. If we start applying this principle, I know it's hard for a lot of you to do this, but I want to give you some good advice that's going to serve you well.
