Hello everyone. Welcome to the PWC podcast TaxBite series. Today we will talk about tax

transparency and some important steps in the short, a bit longer run that will come and will

increase transparency. I have with me today a number of our

experts. We have Dan Verbergt. He knows the ins and outs of DAC 6, not only in Belgium but in

Europe. We have Anlis Boutaille, an expert in tax control frameworks and lots of experience

in setting up a control framework for taxation.

We have Tamara Goose working day to day, let's say, in the trenches with companies, on transparency

and sustainability. So it's promising to be a very interesting discussion today. Let's start

is there anything you can share with the listeners

on the challenges of DAC-6?

So indeed, deck six has been in the air for a while now. And next six is the

fifth amendment of the directive on administrative cooperation and includes a mandatory reporting

obligation for certain cross-border arrangements. So indeed, the rules will go live in all European

member states on the 1st of January 2021.

And as a result, we believe that in the first two months of the new year,

there will be a lot of transactions that are to be reported to the tax authorities,

and also the first time that there will be an exchange of that information
