Hey there, this is Mark R. Healy with a recap of the Road to Shadows Season 2.

Following on immediately from the events of season 1, Daniel and Amber leave Pete's Lakehouse

and return to Amber's car but find that it has been torched. With no other means of transport,

they gather their things and ride together on Daniel's motorcycle in pursuit of Dr. Schilling.

On the way out of town they come across the scene of an accident where a local cop has been

struck and killed, likely the work of Schilling himself. After reaching a nearby town,

Daniel awakens late at night in the motel to discover that Amber is gone. Following his instincts,

he finds Amber in a translike state near a bonfire

in the woods. A shadow named Vesela reveals herself and tries to strike a bargain with Daniel.

He refuses, and in the ensuing fight, Vasella sacrifices herself by throwing herself on the fire,

along with Daniel's axe and bandana. Daniel saves the axe, but the bandana is destroyed. Amber comes out of her

trance with no memory of the event. Continuing on to Clifford Springs, the home of Dr. Schilling,

Daniel and Amber break into Schilling's residence and find a mysterious pit that has been excavated

beneath the dwelling. However, there is no sign of Schilling himself. As they continue to search

Clifford Springs for his whereabouts,

Amber becomes increasingly weak due to an unexplained illness. At an abandoned hospital,

they finally tracked down Schilling, who is weak and frightened after the fight at the lakehouse.

Daniel confronts him, only to find that he has seemingly lost his power over the shadows.

It becomes clear that Daniel's bandana, which had been infused with shadow

blood and was lost in the fight with Vasella, was a critical part of his power. Barely escaping

with their lives, they find themselves in the clutches of Sheriff Barnes, who has come looking

for the perpetrator of the hit-and-run accident back in Colton. Barnes questions them and ultimately
