Hey there, this is Mark R. Healy with a recap of the Road to Shadows Season 1.

The year is 1984. Daniel Knox is a loner who travels from town to town,

trying to stay ahead of creatures he calls shadows, who are disguised as normal people.

Only Daniel can see their true form, which is revealed when they are preparing to make

a kill.

The rest of the time, Daniel is like everyone else, unable to determine their true identity.

In the town of Colton, he encounters Amber, who has come looking for her missing sister.

Daniel is offered employment by a local businessman, Pete.

Daniel and Amber soon find themselves under suspicion from the local sheriff,

Barnes, who believes they may be implicated in a murder. As Daniel and Amber research newspaper

articles and library books, they begin to uncover more information about the shadows and Amber

starts to believe Daniel's claims that they are real. However, the net closes around them and

Daniel decides to leave Colton. Before we can do

so, Amber is captured and taken to a lake house. Daniel goes to investigate and finds a group

of shadows waiting for him, led by Pete, along with Dr James Schilling, a physician from the nearby

town of Clifford Springs, who Daniel encountered years ago and who also turned out to be a shadow.

A fight in shoes and Daniel realizes that he wields power over the shadows

and is able to stripe them down with an axe. Pete is killed and Dr Shilling flees,

wounded and escapes into the night. Daniel and Amber gather their belongings and

prepare to chase Dr Shilling with the intention of hunting him down. This completes the

recap for this season.
