We'll go over those guys, what I saw, what I heard from OTAs, and we'll have a focus on the defensive side of the ball and hear a little something from defensive coordinator, Robbie Leonard. That'll be in segment number two. Here is seven number one. Just news and notes of the day and you got it. It's all about the OTA's practice session number nine. So let's go ahead and jump right into it off top going through the roster, the 90 man roster who was not in attendance on Wednesday. Linebacker to Kobe Dean. He has not been in attendance at OTA so far, cornerbacked Jermad McCoy. You know, they bring him along slowly. He's been on the grass at times. He's been off the grass at times. He's doing some work, but they did mention that, you know, they're bringing him along slowly. But when he's in individual drills, they have seen what they like. They see the burst from him.

So, again, not a guy that you're going to probably see pressed into action immediately,

bringing him along slowly.

Obviously, want to make sure he avoids any kind of further injury

as the guy that should have been a first round pick and instead dropped to the fourth round.

So he wasn't there.

Wide receiver Jalen Naylor, Speedy Naylor was not there. Tide in Carter Runyon was not there. Defensive tackle, Benito Jones was not there. Tide in Ian Thomas. And then safety, Jeremy Chin. And I put an asterisk next to Jeremy Chin. He was there. He just wasn't practicing. We were actually leaving the practice field and we saw him in the pool. So the pool is right behind where the practice fields are. So it's the rehab pool. So he was probably dealing with a little something. So I wasn't sure if he was actually going to meet with us. He was scheduled to talk with us after practice. And he actually did. So he was there, wasn't practicing. Remember, these are voluntary, but he was there in the pool. So we did talk to defensive coordinator

Robbie Leonard. You'll actually hear from him a little bit in segment number two.

Max Crosby heard from him for the first time since the whole trade to Baltimore, not trade

to Baltimore, Jeremy Chin, as I mentioned, and also Malcolm Coons. Again, it was a real big focus

on the defensive side of things. So I just went ahead and separated a few minutes of what Max Crosby had to say. He probably spoke the longest, probably about 15, 16 minutes. He's always one that'll give you a really detailed answer. So just a couple of questions thrown Max Crosby's way. As he, like I said, met with the media. He came right after Robbie Leonard did. It was the defensive coordinator first and then Max Crosby. So he was asked off top about the Baltimore situation. His excitement about this team, the vision and the thumbprint that Robbie Leonard is putting on the organization. So here's Max Crosby off top talking about the Baltimore situation, the trade that turned into the no trade. You know, I don't really want to talk about that, to be honest. It's water under the bridge. It's a long time ago. A lot of things I learned, you know, about what's going on and just, you know, what this league can bring, a lot of adversity, a lot of different things. You can't really anticipate a lot. But ultimately, you know, I've been through a lot of my life. It's, uh, there's nothing to me.

It is what it is. You know, I'm here and I want to be here and I'm excited to be here. And I've got a lot of work to do. But yeah, you know, it's water under the bridge. I thought you were going to be back on the Raiders this season.

Yeah. that you were going to be back on the Raiders this season. You said everything happens for a reason. How excited are you to be a part of this group heading into this year with all the new pieces? Yeah, I'm fired up. You know, everyone knows my love and appreciation for this organization. That never changed, you know, from day one. You know, that's part of the business. There's a lot of other things that, you know, don't need to be discussed.

But ultimately, I'm exactly where I want to be.

I'm excited and, you know, just being here with this group.
