What's you know, alibiers. Welcome to another episode of Pretty Lies and Alibis. I'm Gigi. We are going to break down the afternoon session in the Brian Walsh trial. This won't be too long. This was mainly going through items of evidence with the forensic scientist and what tested positive for blood. They took items from the house, as well as items from that trash pull.

But first, we had a very quick witness, Gregory Danine.

He works for a parent company of Stop and Shop.

They show a video of Brian at self-checkout,

and they bring in the receipt showing he bought three bottles of ammonia.

The next witness, Matthew Sheehan, he works for

the Massachusetts State Police Crime Lab, and on January 8th, he was asked to report to Brian's home

to look for blood evidence. They found a knife in the cabinet, and the screening test for blood

was positive on the blade. In the basement, in the back right corner, he found stains on the concrete

floor that he tested. All of those were positive for blood, but there were also other areas

that did not test positive. At the end of the day, the house was secured and they returned the

next day to continue working, and that would have been January 9th. In the front left bedroom,

there was white

residue where varnish on the floor had been removed and they removed that flooring. He went back

to the basement for a second exam to make sure he didn't miss anything. He went to an area where

there were trash bags and then back to that area that he tested the day before and got those positive results.

He found a squiggly-looking stain on the concrete floor, which tested positive.

He submitted the swabs to the lab for DNA analysis.

He explains that some of these stains had a substance put on them at the crime scene that can

turn the sample purple. That can also mess

with the presumptive positive test, so if a sample had that purple staining, he would preserve the

sample for DNA testing. He also tested items from that trash pull. Let's go through what tested positive,
