Summary

#249. Part 1 of Lan’s annual 3-part end-of-year / new-year series is all about reflection and intentional closure. Looking back on 2025, the Year of the Snake, this episode explores the quiet growth, shedding, and uncomfortable honesty that shaped the past year.

As we move into 2026, the Year of the Horse, the energy shifts toward forward motion with ease, choosing direction over doubt and trusting yourself without needing to prove anything.

In this episode, Lan covers:

  • How to reflect on 2025 through journaling and honest conversations
  • Highlights, lowlights, lessons, and what you’re leaving behind
  • What you’re intentionally bringing into 2026
  • How to create a simple but powerful 2026 vision board (Pinterest + Canva or a collage night with friends)
  • Why focusing on habits and identity matters more than rigid, number-based goals

Lan also discusses moving in silence, the psychology behind the urge to brag, and how strengthening internal validation changes how you show up.

This episode is a grounding reset. A reminder that you’ve already done the hard part. Now it’s about moving forward with clarity and self-trust.

Next week: Part 2: intentions, mindsets, routines, and building healthy habits.

0:55.8

year planning mentally emotionally whatever it is for the next year the year that is coming

1:02.4

i always think it's important to take a moment to pause to reflect to acknowledge everything

1:08.5

the highs the lows the in-betweens from the past year before we move

1:12.4

forward even at any point in your life. It's so easy to get, you know, sucked up into thinking

1:19.7

about, okay, what's next? What's the next thing? I'm going to check off my list, whether it's a place

1:24.5

you want to visit, something you want to do, a goal you want to accomplish,

1:30.2

a milestone you want to reach in your career.

1:34.8

It's really easy to just keep thinking what's next as opposed to taking time to reflect,

1:40.2

acknowledge, and celebrate those wins no matter how big or small that they are.

1:42.7

So I love doing this three-part series.

1:45.7

Part one, which is today's episode, will be reflecting on 2025 manifestations and vision boards, which you guys know. I love doing. I love Pinterest,

1:53.0

and I'm always on there, and I love using it to quote-unquote manifest or visualize how I want
