Hello Heaton here. I sure appreciate all the positive feedback I received on last week's

Roe v. Wade episode. It turns out I do not have to go into hiding. Therefore we've got an all new and fun episode coming out this

Wednesday plus a bonus episode for supporters of the show. But before we do that I'm

going to run a couple of rebroadcasts today and tomorrow.

In 2019, when Ruth Bader Ginsburg died, I dedicated an entire week of episodes to Juris Prudence.

We did Judge Week, the fight over how to interpret the Constitution.

It's one of the most popular programs we've ever done on the political orphanage, in large

part because if you listen to it, you'll be equipped to understand the actual fights going on in the Supreme Court and the real sides

over jurisprudence rather than just assuming it all boils down to conservative or progressive

policy goals.

So today and tomorrow I'm going to play rebroadcast. conservative or progressive policy goals.

and living constitutionalism, which are kind of the two big schools of thought most judges fall

into, and I hope that will be useful for folks

that are new to the show as Rovi Wade heats up

in national media, or just in general

whenever there's a story in the Supreme Court.

Because I can tell you, having done a lot of research on this now

Reporting on court issues tends to be pretty sloppy in our country a lot of the reporting that you see is

Presented to the public if not understood by the reporter the same way we would talk about

Red versus blue policies in Congress and that's simply not how the court works so hopefully these will be a good jumping point for you if you were new to the program and if you've

listened to it previously you might enjoy listening to it again or alternately
