Summary

Rebecca De Ornelas is the Director of Storytelling at Pioneering Collective where she develops the various narratives of C-suite executives. She is an expert in creating an unforgettable story while driving impact.

We discuss creative topics like:

  • Capturing an Audience: How to connect when you are not connecting.
  • The mindset for every successful storyteller
  • The allure of authenticity. Is it elusive?
  • Why acting is 99% listening

Rebecca’s latest film, The Sleepless premiered at the 2020 Big Apple Film Festival and was named Best U.S. Feature by the New York Independent Cinema Awards. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Rebecca has appeared on several New York stages, including as part of Alice Spivak’s On The Road repertory company.

She holds a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Visit her page on IMDB.

Most of all, Rebecca introduces a new podcast: "The Waystation is a podcast powered by Pioneering Collective, wherein every episode, we explore first-person stories, each told on a common theme but sourced from vastly diverse perspectives. We’ll introduce you to people whose lives are seemingly different from yours… or are they? Through these stories, you may even find that you and me and he and she and they and them are more alike than sometimes we’re willing to admit. Plus, why not share a few laughs and tears, and be entertained along the way to wherever you’re going? Our goal with The Waystation is to provide you with a not-so-subtle reality check that YOU… are not alone."
