Marriage is meant to be a picture of the love Christ has for the church; His commitment and persevering faithfulness to us. He said He would never leave us or forsake us. going to be talking about marriage today. And it's such a hard topic. I've had so many people

who have written me and said, would you write a book on marriage? And the reason it's hard is

because we're living in a time in which marriage, family, sex, gender, are have become controversial.

It's crazy that it's become controversial because we know the anatomy of women. We got into

such a giggling fit a minute ago for about five minutes, about talking about anatomy that we

had to start this podcast over. So we'll leave it to your imagination. So what we got into

giggling fit about. But the point is women were made with a whim, with breasts to be able to give

life to babies. Men were made to be a part of helping that happen. And anyway, there's this

incredible thing. We looked back in Genesis one. It was the perfect it was a perfect creation

before the fall. God created Adam and he said, it is not good. It's not good for Adam to be alone.

It's not good for us to be alone. It's not good for people to be lonely. I will make a helper

suitable corresponding is what it really means to equal to to him. And so marriage was in the

heart of God from the beginning marriage was to be a picture of Christ relationship to us.

God has said that Jesus is the bridegroom that we as the church are his bride. And so this is a

sacred picture marriage is to be a sacred picture of two people becoming one, entering into
