Todays podcast answers the question that seems to be on everyones mind, What IS Real Estate Coaching. On todays show Tim and Julie Harris will cut through the fog and help you understand exactly what coaching is and what coaching isn't. Coaching is not the same as training. Training is a one-way process where someone tells you what to do, and then you are left to figure out how to do it. For example, your broker, team leader, or office manager might tell you that you need more leads and suggest that you try buying some. They may give you a few pointers, but ultimately, you are on your own to figure out the rest. Coaching is also not the same as mentoring. While both coaching and mentoring involve one person helping another to achieve their goals, the two processes differ in their approach. Mentors typically have more experience and knowledge than their mentees and are often in a position to provide advice and guidance based on their own experiences. Coaching, on the other hand, focuses on helping the individual being coached to find their own solutions and strategies for achieving their goals. Coaching is also not therapy. While therapy is focused on helping individuals deal with emotional or psychological issues, coaching is focused on helping individuals improve their performance and achieve their goals. Coaching can certainly help individuals who are dealing with emotional or psychological issues, but the focus is on finding practical solutions to help them move forward rather than delving into their past experiences. In conclusion, coaching is a powerful tool for personal and professional development. However, it is important to understand what coaching is and what it is not. Coaching is not the same as training, mentoring, or therapy. Coaching is an interactive process that involves educating, showing, helping, and holding individuals accountable for their results. 1:10.9	talking about real estate, they're talking about what has happened. Some cases, what's happened
1:15.3	like 90 days ago, six months ago, that doesn't really even matter. That's not something that's
1:19.7	going to be useful for you for planning out the rest of your year going forward. What really is
1:24.0	useful is if you're talking directly to productive agents in different markets.
1:28.2	What's really fascinating is knowing what's going on their businesses, what's going on with
1:32.2	their pendings and, you know, all the different things.
