We are now doing something we've never done before.

This is part three of Micah's Read of the Week. Again, it's entitled, Is Anyone Watching Quibi?

And it's comes to us via Vulture. I will continue to read from the piece. We have done

parts 1 and 2 earlier this week week and this is part three. Also check out

Without further ado, I will continue.

This is again part three. Where we were left off yesterday, the lines had been drawn according to a anonymous quote that the, even the building that Quibi moved into a 49,000 square foot space

was, quote, carved up to north and south Korea

and they drew a DMZ line which each didn't cross. So now we have tension between founders Whitman and

Katzenburg. Continuing from the peace.

Quibi's bigger problems were more conceptual.

Who needed Quibi to break things up into a snackable chunks for them?

To begin with, as one long-time Hollywood executive told me,

I have a pause button.

Some wondered whether Quibi was a feathered fish,

and Katsenberg had mistakenly taken an incremental innovation for a grand disruption.

Interesting analogies there.

To combat the idea that Quibby would be providing something that already existed,

Kansenberg leaned into making Quibi seem different.
