Welcome into Lounge presented by Draft Kings. I'm Ryan Mink here with Garrett Downing following the Ravens 26 to 24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which eliminates them from playoff contention. The Steelers win the AFC North on a missed 44-yard field goal by Tyler Loop as time expired. Just a brutal way for the Ravens 2025 season to end, Garrett.

Yeah, this is a heartbreaker.

This is one that it was an up and down game,

and there's plenty of things that you felt like were opportunities that were missed,

and the Ravens could have done this and could have done that.

But at the end of the day, you've got a relatively short kick for a chance to win it and get to

the postseason and win the division. And I think everybody was just totally stunned. That was

the word that Lamar Jackson used after the game was stunned. And that was definitely a collective

sense that you could feel, even just watching the reaction to the kick.

But then in hearing from John Harbaugh, the coach, in the players after the game, I think everybody was shocked that it ended the way that it did when the Ravens had an opportunity to go win it.

And to keep this season alive alive and go and see what happened

in the playoffs.

It could have been an epic finish for the Ravens.

I mean, Lamar Jackson makes a spectacular play splitting two Steelers' defenders to avoid a sack

and throws a 50-yard touchdown to Zay Flowers, then a 64-yard touchdown to Zay Flowers on fourth down, on a fake,

or not on fourth down, but on a fake run outside.

And then the throw to Isaiah likely to set up the game winning kick, what could have been

the game-winning kick on fourth and seven. I mean, just miraculous

plays after miraculous play down the stretch for the Ravens offense. Lamar Jackson really kind of

put this team on his back in the fourth quarter after what had been a pretty tough game for

the Ravens passing attack to that point. And that's what just makes it even a tougher pill to swallow.
