Recapping a 101 to 80 Michigan win over Howard.

One seed beats the 16 seed.

It was really never a doubt, Anthony, 98.6% was the minimum win probability for Michigan.

That was when it was a two-point game when Howard scored the first two points of the

second half, 50 to 48.

And you may be saying, hey, maybe it was in doubt in the first half.

But I felt pretty comfortable with Michigan's chances throughout.

It took 10 threes in the first half from Howard to keep it close. Michigan answered

many of those. Michigan hit seven of their own. Got a lot of what they wanted inside, six

turnovers in the first half. But Howard tries to speed you up, puts on the full court press.

But the Wolverine survive in advance is the most important thing. And Anthony, I wrote this after the

game. That most importantly, Michigan in the second half did not become a national story where you're watching North Carolina go down and you're watching these other games and you see the score on the top of the screen there and you say, oh, we got to get over to CBS to see Michigan.

No, they quothed all that or quelled all that, you know, whatever term I'm using that maybe isn't correct. In the second half, and they were able to pull away and next thing you know, Charlie May, Howard Isley Jr., Malik Cordell, and Oscar Goodman are in the game. And you know, that usually means good things. Your human victory cigars out there, right? Cool that they were in a position to get those guys in the game. And like you said, I mean, it was never in danger of being a game. Like, I think, you know, I looked out of my phone. There was maybe something from ESPN, like, live, more drama with a one seed, Michigan and how, you know, know going back it's probably just some AI headline or

something exactly um you know Duke Duke had to expend a lot of energy to get back into their game against

the 16 seed where I mean I thought for almost all this game I thought the offense was humming it looked

like they felt good playing fast again, which is something that

we've talked a lot about. And, you know, when it comes to the defense, let's call it what it was,

like that first half, not a championship defensive effort. It just wasn't. Now, some of the made

threes were, I mean, the arc on some of their shots was crazy. I mean, you tip your hat to the
