We are going to talk with Ravens legendary tight-end Todd Heap about the Ravens draft class and

specifically wide receiver Jacoby Lane, who he has a relationship with, as well as discuss

the latest breaking news, and that is the signing of Callais Campbell to a one-year deal, according to

Ian Rappaport and Adam Schaefter of ESPN. So a lot of news here, even after the draft, Garrett,

and let's start with Callais, this reported deal, according to Jeff's Rebeck,

expected to be around $5.5 million for one year.

Just what do you think that Callais Campbell will bring to the Ravens?

Well, first of all, look, Callais Campbell, I think you talk to everybody in this building.

He's one of everyone's favorite players.

He's an all-time favorite.

He's like on the Mount Rushmore of NFL good guys.

When you talk about players that you want in your program leader,

keeps everybody, holds everybody accountable.

But also, it's not just like he's a nice guy.

He plays at such a high level uh he he demands a lot

out of himself and everybody else and man it's like it's kind of crazy when he departed here a few years

ago it felt like even when he was still playing here when he first came here it was like is he

is this it is this your last year? Like he was answering

those questions five, six years ago. And for him to now come back here after going to a couple

different places, I think it just speaks to his ability as a player, his work ethic. And it's

pretty remarkable that he's still playing at the level that he is at this stage of his career. Yeah. Clias will turn 40 years old on September 1st so before the season kicks off. And, you know, he's the oldest defensive lineman in the league. You just don't have many guys that play it to the big 4-0. I can't imagine.
