This is Philip Rossman Wright, the host of Lockdown Magic coming to you from Little Caesar's Arena where the Orlando Magic has shocked the NBA, the 112 101 victory over the 1C Detroit distance. The first upset of these NBA playoffs. The Magic, though, did not look like the lower seat. They were in control of this game from the beginning. While you might be able to blame some rust because the Pistons haven't played since last Sunday for the slow start, Orlando's defense was gained the entire time. They were, despite a lot of fouls, they were physical, they kept Detroit from getting into any rhythm, they challenged shots. They did everything that you're supposed to do to beat the top seat to get an upset in these kinds of games.

Magic had all five of their starters scored the 16 points. The ball moved.

They made some shots. Palo Ben Carroll looked like a star and Franz Lager scored 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to keep the pittons at arm's length.

There's so a lot to clean up. It is still a series. There's a long way to go. But if a series doesn't on starts until the road team wins a game, the magic just started this series off with a bag.
