locked on NBA game night, every game every night. And now every playoff game every night from now until the end of June. We're going to be taking you through the NBA playoffs tonight. I'm Gavin Shaw. I'm the host of Locked on Nick's podcast. He's Kuky Hill. He's the fantastic host of the Locked on Pistons podcast. And today's episode is brought to you by our good friends over at Fandul. That's right. On Fandul, new customers can bet just $5 and get $250 in bonus bets if your first bet wins. Head to fendul.com to get started. And on tonight show, we're breaking down all four games in the association. The Cleveland Cavaliers, I'm going to phrase it as take care of business. They do what they were expected to do against the Toronto Raptors. The Los Angeles Lakers outlast the Houston Rockets in a bloodbath. Ugly, ugly basketball game, some vintage old man basketball from LeBron James. Playoff career high for Luke Conard. We'll get into that. We're going to talk about the Knicks just completely stifling the Atlanta Hawks. If the Hawks will have any counters going forward, but we need to start with, I think, clearly, Coo, the series of the first round, nuggets in a game where I don't think they played particularly well, outlast the Minnesota to Timberl's 116105. My biggest takeaway is that Anthony Edwards doesn't look totally healthy. And if he's not totally healthy, it doesn't really matter how the Nuggets play. I don't think the wolves have much of a chance in this series. Yeah, I mean, that was my takeaway going into the playoffs. A lot of people were talking about the Minnesota Timber Wolves and the Denver Nuggets series being like this electric series that, you know, Minnesota is giving them problems, they've beaten them. This could be the same thing over and over. But we had seen that Anthony Edwards for the previous, really like the last month of the season, was dealing with, I believe, a knee injury. Then he was sick at a time, but then he's been going in and out with like this, this injury. And I had been saying that like, and really I'd been bringing it up because so many

2:20.6

people had the Timbles over the Pistons as contenders.

2:22.5

And I was just like, well, I could understand that maybe if Edwards was healthy,

2:26.4

but Anthony Edwards has not looked healthy and has been in and out of a lot for weeks now.

2:30.7

I mean, I agree with you.

2:31.3

He did not look 100% in this game against Denver. I do think that Minnesota had some nice things. I thought Rudy Gobert played really well in this game. I thought he was very active in both ends of the floor. But the fact that the Nuggets weren't able to win a game where, again, I agree with you, I don't think Denver even played, I don't think they played an A game in this game. I thought Jamal Murray, while he was still impactful, did not nearly have as good of a game as he could possibly have had. Yolkich would be even more aggressive moving forward as a score. We didn't even get to see that. I think this, I agree with you. If Anthony Edwards is not 100%, and we're not going to be getting vintage Anthony Edwards,

3:07.9

this could be over pretty quickly. I don't think Minnesota without a fully healthy Anthony

3:13.4

Edwards stands really much of a chance against Denver. And to your point, you look forward.

3:17.9

It's potentially San Antonio, then Oklahoma City, then whoever comes out of the east. Like,

3:22.1

it is, it would be, I think one of the greatest titles in NBA history of Denver follows that path and wins a championship in that path. They needed any break they could possibly get. This might be it. I have some more thoughts on the game, but before you hear from me, let's hear from the actual expert swipe of from Lockdown Nuggets. He shares his thoughts on the Nuggets first win. The Denver Nuggets get a 116 to 105 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves for a game one.

3:48.6

This was a terrific game.

3:50.6

The Denver Nuggets in the first quarter were trailing by 10 points.

3:54.6

They couldn't make a shot.

3:55.6

The wolves were rolling. Jay to McDaniels was having his way.

4:00.3

But then at the top of the second quarter, Jamal Murray goes on a little bit of a spurt all by

4:05.2

himself. He ends the game with 30 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. He gets to the line
