Come back to Inside the High. This is Emily Jane Fox. We have another fantastic

re-air this week. This week we are rerunning an interview with Paris Hilton,

which I did a little more than a year ago and it was just a fascinating

conversation with someone who of course we've all seen and heard and watched for

many many years as she sort of dominated many pop culture conversations for as

long as I can remember. But this is Paris Hilton like I certainly have never

seen her heard her before. She was talking about the way that the media treated

women like her and the era when she was really at the peak of her notoriety.

She's talking about the brand that she's building a seemingly endless supply

of ambition and what it's like to be a woman at the center of that at this point

in her life and her career. It was really fascinating and it made me think a lot

about our assumptions about her, the way that the media talked about her and

treated her and her peers and it just was something that made me think about

so much of pop culture and the conversations over the last decade or two. We

will be back with all new episodes next week. I'm so excited about the lineup

of what is to come in this late summer early fall but until then we leave you
