Today, Jason, this guy right here, shares his thoughts on the Rayneo Air 4 Pro budget display glasses. Budget, don't tune out. Display glasses? Interesting. What are they even for? We're going to talk about it. I'm Jason Howell. I'm going to do it now. Let's start with what you need to know with the big story. All right. I just figured we could spend a little time talking about display glasses. We've

definitely talked about smart glasses on the show in the past. This is a real focus of my work

this year is really understanding this kind of emerging technology. And I did just finalize my

review of some glasses that just released here in the U.S., the Rainio Air 4 Pro display glasses.

So we can talk a little bit about what that actually means, you know, why you might

want display glasses, that sort of stuff.

But might as well kind of dive into these glasses to begin with.

Rainio did send me these, though, just for review.

So my opinions are my own and all that kind of stuff.

First, important to know, these are not AR glasses. A lot of times you'll see display glasses advertised as AR glasses. And I always think that's kind of funny because there's no

interaction with what you're seeing through the display and the world, you know? It's literally

just a couple of displays that are

right in front of your eyes, but inside a pair of glasses. What they do is they plug into any

video source that supports video out through USBC. So display port, so smartphones, laptops,

gaming systems. It works with a like the Nintendo Switch 2, for example.

And it kind of makes it good for focus.

It also makes it a solid choice for travel, that sort of stuff.

These glasses in particular, the Air 4 Pro,

are on the lower price tier of the ones that I've checked out

over the past six months or so. These are $299. Rayneau does have like a sale going on right now for $249. But they're kind of that price range that doesn't feel so far out there that's like, yeah, I don't even know why I'd want that. I don't even know why I'd pay that money for it. 249, $2.99 kind of feels accessible. So you can start considering this.
