I imagine it's so exotic to me it's like it was like Africa it's a beautiful

landscape and they call New Mexico the land of enchantment because of all the diverse landscapes it has and this is kind of a perfect example of all these different ecosystems kind of coming together one of the most intact ecosystems that still exists.

Yeah, the important thing is again going back to that relationship that we've created with Mexico and their researchers and our researchers and putting that

data together it's priceless. You utilizing the resources but making sure future generations have the same opportunity.

And here we are.

We're the future generations having that opportunity.

So what is that message, is what is our responsibility as a human being?

Our responsibility is,

leave that opportunity for our children

and our great-grandchildren.

Hello, this is Hal Herring for Backcountry Hunters and Anglers podcast and Blas.

We are in southern New Mexico, Deming New Mexico to be exact and we've been down here quail hunting, hunting murns quail and scaled. I'm here with three people

that I've been wanting to talk to for a really long time on this.

I've got Gave Vasquez, Ray Trejo, and Fernando Clemente.

And on a basis, as I usually do on these things things I figure out they know more about themselves

and I know about them so I'm gonna start with Gabe can you introduce yourself

and sure how and it's an honor to be here with you with good friends today talking about

southern New Mexico and I'm the southern New Mexico coordinator for the New Mexico

Wildlife Federation I'm also a city council member for one of our second largest

city here in New Mexico in Las Cruces and lived along the border on both sides

all my life. I know. Ray, how about you, man?
