here's a little something I've been ruminating about on the topic of missing an element of a story.

So what is it when one element of a story is missing?

I mean from the three basic elements, a beginning, a middle, and an end.

What do you call it? A bad story or something else? I call it a conversation. When you're in a conversation, occasionally the person that you're communicating with may know one or more elements

of the story already, and they just need you to fill them in on the missing parts.

And there are so many interesting dialogues I've had with people that could simply be called just an exchange of information. There's a story I've been competent, Platen, trying to tell for

quite some time that falls into that category, and it kind of goes like this. When I was stationed in Korea, we used to catch a bus, a military bus,

that took us from our base camp to one of the larger base camps near one of the larger village.

So, me and two other friends, we went down to the bus stop and it's got a big shed over it,

and we were waiting for the bus.

But when the bus pulled up, all three of us noticed that it was a guy on the bus sleeping by his window.

And the guy woke up and he looked out the window and we all noticed, or at least we

were all thinking the same thing.

And that was that this guy, he looked just like me.

And we just looked at each other.

And the guy woke up and he looked out at us and we looked at each other and we didn't move.
