Hi moms, this is Heidi St. John. Today I am in the book of Genesis, so if you've got your

Bible, go ahead and take it out and get out your highlighter or your ballpoint pen or

whatever it is that makes you really happy when you sit down with your Bible and get

ready to mark it up a little bit because I want to talk about the faithfulness of God

today for just a few minutes and how trustworthy God is. I'm not going to read the whole

passage to you, so I really want you to take that, take a few minutes and read it on your

own. Again, that scripture is Genesis 22 verses 1 through 19. And this is the story of

Abraham and Isaac. Some of you are not familiar with the story, so I'm going to give you

a little bit of background information on it. But basically, Abraham is asked by God to

lay his son down on the altar and sacrifice him, and it is an incredible story of God testing

Abraham's faith by asking him to do such a thing. In Genesis 22 verse 14, it says, so

Abraham called the name of that place, the Lord will provide, as it is said to this day,

on the mount of the Lord, it shall be provided. And that's a little bit of an end to the story,
