What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Epic Gardening Podcast. Today's going to be a quickfire episode with a bunch of different questions about hydroponics.

These are questions that I get emailed to me all the time, so I figured I would do a little bit of a batch

episode and just answer a lot of them in rapid succession. Now they're going to be a

bunch of different questions here and I'm not trying to say that hydroponics is just strictly better than growing in soil.

I prefer to do both. But there are some unique advantages to growing hydroponically that make it something that you should consider when you're growing

with small space, if you're growing in an urban environment, maybe you don't even have any land

at all and you just need to grow something in your room.

Hydroponics is a good option there as well.

So let's answer and ask a couple questions about hydroponics.

Here we go. First, why do people grow hydroponically? Well, I've answered

a bit of that already in the intro, but in general, hydroponic plants can be grown

indoors or outdoors.

So that means that they provide a year-round consistent supply of produce.

The plants grow faster and they can be spaced much more densely.

So there is usually more harvest per square foot compared. much more

harvest per square foot compared to traditional farming.

Now the next question, why do hydroponic plants grow faster?

This is a good one.

So what I've noticed in my own growing is that

hydroponic plants that I grow are growing anywhere from 25 to 40-ish percent

faster than traditionally grown plants in soil. Now the question then is
