From the smallest room in New York City comes a show that gives you a reason to live. The New York Daily News reports

in Inwood, the Bronx of Manhattan, a woman stabbed to death her boyfriend's elderly father,

leaving him in a wrinkled heap in a red puddle on the floor. She says she had a good reason.

27-year-old Cassandra Carter cops arrived on the scene to find her standing near the fire escape,

which she apparently had just used to exit the apartment.

When a cop called out to Carter, Carter shagged ass.

It's unclear whether the cops chased her or how far.

Daily News simply says she soon stopped running and gave the cops her statement.
