| 0:00.0 | You're going to see a lot of rankings this summer, but most of them are just last year's |
| 0:03.7 | finishers shuffled around. But that's not what this is. These are the top 24 overall rankings for fantasy football based on not just production, but role situation and the metrics that actually matter. And we'll start with my S tier, the top tier. It's Jamar Chase and Seekuan Barkley in that order for me. I have Jamar Chase as my number one overall receiver and number one overall player here's why i mean |
| 0:21.5 | last year the dude averaged 23.7 fantasy points per game the most out of any player at the position |
| 0:26.8 | and it was the third highest season we have ever seen for a wide receiver only behind cd lamb from |
| 0:31.7 | twenty twenty three and cooper cup from 2021 and during this time he had everything going for him he |
| 0:35.8 | led the nfl and red zone targets. |
| 1:29.2 | And then in terms of deep targets of 20 plus yards downfield, he was 17th. So last year, between 20 deep targets and 36 red zone targets, he had 56 cheat code targets. That's what we call them in fantasy, those targets that can really lead to a lot of points downfield and in the red zone because of touchdowns. Chase is a safe pick. He's still with his great quarterback in Joe Burrow, who now has an improved offensive line and Chase is still just 25 years old. Now, as for Saquan Barkley, the running back, the guy that I had number two over here, number two overall right now in our tier one. We're going to have some more players in tier one as well. Well, Seyquan Barkley is somebody who last year put up over 2,000 rushing yards. Sequin Barclay last year as well This fellow was the RB1 with ease, averaging 22 fantasy points per game. And here's the crazy part. He scored 15 total touchdowns, which in most seasons is going to be like right up there as a number one player in all of the NFL, right? 15 touchdowns. His quarterback still scored more touchdowns than him on the ground. Crazy. Sequin has an insane floor because of his usage in a good offense, and it's not like he's 30 or 31 years old. He just turned 28. We remain in tier one, and I'm going to add in my number three overall ranked player, Bijon Robinson, and number four, Jemir Gibbs. Now, let's start with Bejohn Robinson. He was the RB3 overall last year in points per game, but if you look at his production, once he actually started to get going |
| 1:44.4 | in this new offense with Kirk Cousins and some new coaches coming in, Dijon took off. Look at this |
| 1:48.8 | over his last, from week 16 on according to Derek Brown over on Twitter. Debrough, you can check |
| 1:53.3 | him out. Right here, 23.4 touches per game, elite usage, 121 yards per game. During this time, |
| 1:59.7 | he was the RB1 in fantasy, everything he had going for him. He was running a bunch of routes. He was seeing all the touches on the ground. It was no longer like, oh, Tyler Algear is involved. No, that was not the case. And now he's paired with Michael Pennix as his quarterback, which we saw down the stretch last year. Penix looked good, and he actually raises the entire floor and ceiling of this offense. So in my opinion, you're drafting a guy who is still young at just 23 years old here. He's going to have the workload, one of the safest floors in fantasy. And honestly, you might be able to get him at like pick five in fantasy drafts and he has number one overall player upside. Now, as for Jamir Gibbs, my number four overall ranked player, I mean, this guy last year was second in points per game and he scored the most points overall if you just look at total fantasy points last year. |
| 2:17.7 | And down the stretch, when David Montgomery was injured, Gibbs had just a crazy workload. Check this out. You can see Gibbs points per game here. This is on player profiler. This is the fantasy column right here, points per game, and where that ranked for the week. Now, let's scroll down towards the end of the season when you ended up seeing David Montgomery get hurt. |
| 2:52.8 | Look at the production that he was putting up. Twenty-eight point four fantasy points per game, 114 total yards, insane. |
| 2:58.6 | 254 total yards, then 163, 170, 175. During this time, he's finishing as the RB2, the RB1, the RB2. |
| 3:07.0 | He's scoring 46 and 35 and a half fantasy points that was what Dave of Montgomery just banged up now Montgomery is still coming off of that injury he's another year older he's gonna definitely be involved in this offense but if he does miss time or loses touches to Gibbs it's it's Rb1 overall for Gibbs now I'll round off my tier 1 with these next two wide receivers. Justin Jefferson, my number five overall ranked player, and CD Lamb, my number six. Now, here's what I'll say. If you really wanted to separate it and put like Jamar Chase and Bijon Robinson and maybe one of the other running backs in tier one and make another tier two, that's fine. I kind of view it, and this is how I do tiers, as like any of these six guys I could see finishing as the number one overall ranked player if you wanted to take cd lamb number two overall or |
| 3:24.2 | number one overall ranked player. If you wanted to take CD Lamb number two overall or number one overall, I think honestly like sure, maybe I don't agree with that completely. I like Chase there, but I don't think it's crazy. Like let's touch on Jefferson, my number five ranked player. I mean, he's been a top six wide receiver. Here, look at the stats right here on player profiler. He's been a top six wide receiver every single year for the past four years. The wide receiver three, the wide receiver five, the wide receiver two, the wide receiver four. I mean, heck, in last year alone, it seemed like it was going to be a down year for Justin Jefferson. The guy still scores 10 touchdowns, puts up 18.7 fantasy points per game. And that's what you would consider like a down year based on the past four years. And now he gets J.J. McCarthy, which creates a little bit of uncertainty, but I trust in this coaching staff and Kevin O'Connell and just Justin Jefferson's talent. I mean, we saw it in 2023. Let's look at these game logs at the end of 2023 for Justin Jefferson right here. These final five games because his quarterbacks were Joshua Dobbs and Nick Mullins. You get 15.4 fantasy points, 26, 11, and 36 fantasy points. |
| 4:14.3 | He was the number one wide receiver on the week. Again, that's what's playing with guys like Nick Mullins and Joshua Dobbs. I think J.J. McCarthy at worst will be those guys, and he has a ceiling to him. I trust the coaching staff here to make Jefferson a top five overall player. And now as for CD Lamb, he's still in tier one for me. He's my number six overall player, |
| 4:30.9 | despite a new edition that we'll talk about to his team and his competition recently but this guy last year the second half of the season didn't have his quarterback in dac prescott and basically dealt with a bum shoulder the entire time and still produce you can see those injuries right here in week nine he has a shoulder injury limits him the rest of the year. And then in week 11, he starts to pick up a back and foot injury. So for like the final seven weeks of the year, he's dealing with three separate injuries, leaving games early. And he still finished the season as the wide receiver eight in points per game. And the prior season in 2023 with Dak Press got healthy. Do you recall what happened. Lamb was literally the wide receiver won in fantasy. He had 23.7 fantasy |
| 5:04.5 | points per game. This is the second. in 2023 with Dak Press got healthy. Do you recall what happened? Lamb was literally the wide |
| 5:20.9 | receiver won in fantasy. He had 23.7 fantasy points per game. This is the second best season ever, |
| 5:26.7 | ever in fantasy football, only be kind Cooper Cup in 2021 season for a wide receiver in points per game. |
| 5:32.2 | Now, of course, the elephant in the room is the most recent addition that the Dow's Cowboys |
