We just got done talking about what we believe Notre Dame's roster is and what makes up a championship caliber and elite type of roster.

Now we're going to broaden the scope a little bit, and we're going to talk about the other teams in college football.

And we're going to go through our ranking of what we believe to be is the top 10 ros teams in college football. And we're going to go through our ranking of

what we believe to be is the top 10 rosters in college football. Now, quick refresher,

when we broke down what makes up an elite roster, some of the essentials, it's talent,

the depth of talent, being good at key areas, being good in the trenches, high quality of that

talent, and having it in more than just one spot.

I used the analogy of in 2009, Notre Dame had an outstanding receiving core highlighted by their last

Bolitnikoff Award winner. They went six and six. Just because that roster had Jimmy Clausen,

Golden Tate, Michael Floyd, and Kyle Rudolph, Notre Dame as a team, did not have a top 10 roster in college football

that year, unfortunately. So all of those factors are kind of what we factor into our ranking.

And like we do with a lot of things, we're going to snake it. We're going to go 10 to 1.

And not to the surprise of very many people, there's a lot of similarities between mine and Brian's list, and that's kind of where we start this conversation. Before we start this conversation, Tripp, I got to say this. You got to stop bringing up 2009 because that still stings. I know, I'm sorry. I really thought that team was going to be good. I did. Even with Tanude is the D.C. I just like, man, with Michael Floyd and

Golden Tate and Kyle Rudolph and Jimmy Claussen and Armando Allen and all these, I said,

they're just, they're just going to be good. I'm still, I would argue that is still the most

disappointing season I've ever had to sit through as a fan. And just think about how close every single loss was.

Yeah.

I mean, like even the USC game, which was a seven-point game, USC kind of controlled that game.

But even then, Notre Dame still came back and, you know, Jimmy had that phenomenal

pass to Golden over top of Taylor at Taylor Mays for a touchdown.

But like, you think about it, man, they were six and six that year. And they had an opportunity to at worst be 11 and 1. I don't count the USC game because, like, they never really led late in that game. But like, they should have beat Michigan. They should have beat Navy. They should have beat Pitt.
