Brian, in the next part of the Irish Breakdown podcast, brought to by our friends over at Fandul.

We're switching gears and we're talking national topics.

And on the docket for right now, we're ranking our top 10 college football coaches, active college football coaches ahead of the 2026 season.

And a window in, Brian, this was a, this was a, from a name standpoint, an easy list to put

together.

Where they fell individually was a little bit more difficult.

But just the names, it was easy to come up, you know, at the top of your head.

It's, you know, yeah, Marcus Freeman, Dan Lannning, Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, Kurt Signetti, but once you had to start ordering them, became a little bit more difficult. So we based it on really three main criteria. And this is what you sent over to me when I was, when I actually called you, Little Window in, Peak Behind the and I was like, look, man, I just, I'm struggling getting these rankings together. And so the criteria that Brian sent me over is

we're going off of recent track records. So like the last three years because there's some

coaches on this list that have been head coaches at collegiate programs for like four years total.

And then others that have been on head coaches in college football since like

the late 2000s and so it kind of helps filter it out a little bit the second criteria is the

ability to build top rosters presently and down the road future recruiting classes and then obviously

third you have to factor in the overall history you know that comes into play with some of the coaches, especially one coach in

particular that we're going to be talking about that's in both of our rankings.

So that's the three main criteria for you guys all to keep in mind when we go through these

rankings.

This isn't a, you know, if I were to start a football program today, who would my head coach be?

My answer is going to be Marcus Freeman, but he's also not number one overall on my list

for a lot of the reasons that we listed out in the criteria.

So, Brian, I'm excited for this one, man.
