Real excited to talk to my guest today.

I always like talking to this person.

He is one of the most engaging, fascinating people to talk to, just if you run into him

in a hallway, which for lots of years, we ended up talking, we would run into each other

in hallways when we were both sort of music business adjacent and then as we became film

business people.

Randy Poster, who is my guest today, you'd see on the credits as Randall Poster, is one

of one when it comes to music supervision.

He is far and away the best music supervisor during the period that I have been in the business

and in fact has, I think, reinvented what it means to be somebody who does that for a living.

He's also a producer in his own right and a writer in his own right, but the way most

people would know Randy is by the work he's done with directors like Martin Scorsese and

Wes Anderson and Todd Phillips and Todd Haynes.

I thought it would be awesome to hear from somebody who does a job that has an enormous influence

on the final thing that we all watch, even though one may not really even be aware of

what that gig is.

And you know, Randy Poster, man, it's great to see you.
