I waited a few minutes, maybe 20, then I ran.

I opened the basement door to the backyard and ran up the concrete stairs down the street.

I was in my nighty.

I could have changed into my clothes, laced my shoes on, but I didn't want to change

anything.

I didn't want to alter in any way the scene of the crime, which was my body.
