We commence by praising Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, thanking Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala for giving us this opportunity together in his house

in one of his houses in this blessed month of Ramadan on this blessed eve and we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to make us from amongst those who are forgiven on this night

and to decree for us everything that is good to come for the following year may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant us goodness, may he grant us sustenance in abundance and may he grant us blessings in our sustenance,

may he grant us good health and may he make us from amongst those whose offspring are also the coolness of our eyes

as well as our spouses and family members and may he make us useful members of our own communities, may he help us to serve this deen

and may he make us not from amongst those who will earn his wrath I mean

We praise Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, we send complete blessings and salutations upon Muhammad al-Alahi wa Sallam

and we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless him, his entire household, all his companions, all the messengers who had been sent from the beginning of time

right to the end and may Allah bless us all and make us from those who always earn his pleasure I mean

beloved brothers and sisters in Islam as you know the night of decree known as Laylatul Qadr

is to be looked for within the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan

more likely within the odd nights from amongst the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan

more likely to be within the second half which means we would look at the 27th as well as the 29th

but this does not mean that it is not from the 21st onwards

we ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to grant us this night

a very powerful question asked by Aishar al-Alahi wa Sallam

and we need to know this because we need to understand and realize the power of this Eve

I'm sure we all know the verses of the Qur'an that were read this evening in Salatu Lwiter

where Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says Laylatul Qadr iqai'r'um in al-Fishah

this night of decree is better than one thousand months

so this is why we need to realize and understand the command of Allah is sent down on this night
