We commence by praising Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala sending blessings and salutations upon Muhammad

Salallahu alayhi wa sallam his entire household and all his companions all those who have

struggled and strived to bring the deen to us and may Allah bless every single one of us and

grant us goodness and may he grant the same to our offspring and may he protect the Ummah at

large. Beloved brothers and sisters yesterday we heard about the battle of Khaybar there is

something that happened in the battle of Khaybar that we need to make mention of as the fortresses

were being opened one after the other the Prophet Salallahu alayhi wa sallam had set down

for one of his meals and he had had some of the food that was given to him by the Jewish people

of Khaybar who were now slowly but surely fortress by fortress becoming from amongst those who

were under the muslims because as you know the muslims became victorious one after the other.

So the Prophet Salallahu alayhi wa sallam as he was eating he put a piece of meat into his mouth

and he chewed it very little and immediately spat it out and he said where did this come from?

The Prophet Salallahu alayhi wa sallam surprised his companions by spitting this piece of meat out

and he was told it was a gift given by one of the Jewish ladies of Khaybar. So the Prophet

Salallahu alayhi wa sallam immediately said there is poison in this piece of meat. How do you know

O messenger? Salallahu alayhi wa sallam he says according to some of the narrations the piece of

meat itself informed me that there is poison in me. Subhanallah. So this was the gift of Rasulullah

Salallahu alayhi wa sallam then he called this lady and he asked her is this from you she said yes

did you put poison in it she was shocked she said yes. So the Prophet Salallahu alayhi wa sallam said

and why did you do that? So she says because you claim to be a prophet if you were a prophet I knew

you would know and if you were not we would have got rid of you. May Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala say
