So, you know, some folks from Seattle Radio came over to our booth and was like, hey, man, want you to come on and hop on and talk about Clint Kubiak and Fernando Mendoza and the direction that the Raiders are going.

So bright and early, I was on Seattle radio on their morning show talking about Clint Kubiak and then multiple outlets. And of course, we're here in the Bay. So my good friends at 957 the game, Darryl Guru Johnson caught up with him, caught up with my guy, Bonte Hill, who used to be at 957. Everyone's got something to say about Clint Kubiak.

Obviously, he spent a little bit of time with the 49ers organization as well. But for the most part,

like I said, a really good positive, you know, higher. And at least, and it's not a higher yet, right?

It's not official, but at least a real positive from the powers it be. You know, like everyone who's breaking these things down, analyzing it, thinking about how this can go and the direction that the silver and black are going, feel pretty good about this. Now, I would like to say, and I know everyone won't agree with this, and everyone won't say that they were on board with this, but a lot of people, including myself, were on board with the Pete Carroll hire.

Now, remember, it took me a little while to come around on the Pete Carroll hire at first when the name started floating through, you know, and got to my ears. I was like, eh, I don't know, you know, maybe. But then, you know, as started thinking about his track record, his resume, the fact that he's built winners. Okay, you know, at least this is a guy that's been there, done that,

and he can get something going for this team. Obviously, something going never got going, right? Three wins shows that that never happened. So, you know, as much as, you know, we can get excited about this potential hire of Clint Kubiak and what he could potentially do with Fernando Mendoza, if in fact they do draft him in the draft in April, still doesn't mean that it's going to be successful,

right? And the one thing about Pete Carroll as opposed to Clint Kubiak is that at least Pete Carroll had the resume. Pete Carroll's the guy that you could look at and say, okay, he's been there, done that, this is how he's going to do it.

Obviously, he was older when he took the job.

He had been a year removed after being taken off the sidelines there in Seattle and was playing a consultant role. You know, and so he was just trying to get a job and get back on the sidelines. He did. They were never on the same page. We don't have to rehash 2025. We know how it went. It went bad. You don't pick number one overall in the draft if it went good, right? So it was just a bad result all around, but it could end up with a positive outcome with the

Raiders, you know, ended up with a head coach that could potentially be a really good head coach

for years to come and also a quarterback that could be their franchise quarterback that they

haven't had in a very long time. So a lot of really good feedback. I'm enjoying what this week so far, and it's early in the week, what this is brought to the table. Now they had a Super Bowl opening night. I didn't go to that. I was on my ESPN radio show, but I do know many of my colleagues that went out there to try to talk to Clint Kubiak. and they asked him multiple questions about the Raiders and

him potentially taking the job and he said hey I'm laser focused and I'm just paraphrasing laser
