Calls, text, your feedback. Segment number two, we'll hear from Dane Bruegler. He is the guy that put out the beast. He puts it out each and every year. It's the ultimate draft guide. I get it each and every

year. It's something that I use not only leading put out the Beast. He puts it out each and every year. It's the ultimate draft guide.

1:11.5

I get it each and every year.

It's something that I use not only leading up to the draft, but well after it. Matter of fact, all year long, I like to reference back to the Beast. But not only did he put out a seven-round mock draft for the Silver and Black and every team across the league. We'll focus on the Raiders, obviously, but I also had him on my radio show on Wednesday.

1:28.1

So we'll hear a few thoughts on some of the prospects that he had selected for the Raiders. We'll do all that coming up. Segment number two, hearing segment number one, news and notes of the day. And it's really about the pre-draft visits on the final day that the draft prospects can make their top 30 visit to respected organizations. And the Raiders had a handful of those guys. So let's go ahead and jump right into it. So this comes from Jordan Reed from ESPN, Ryan Fowler, who covers the NFL for the Draft Network and Jeremy Fowler from ESPN. And also Sam Warren from The Athletic, who's the new beat writer for the Athletic for the Raiders. A good guy comes from Houston, so I'm getting familiar with him as well. But these four are the ones that put out this information about the prospects that visited with the Raiders on Wednesday. First of all, San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson. He visited the Raiders. That was according to Jordan Reed from ESPN. He also had a pre-draft visit with the Jets and the Steelers. Chris Johnson is a guy that, remember, I walked away from the scouting combine saying, man, I wasn't up on game on Chris Johnson. I should have from San Diego State. I definitely should have been locked in on who he was, but he's got a guy, as a guy with good size, got good speed, and he proved that speed at the scouting combine. That was the biggest thing for him. He visited with the silver and Black. And the problem is a lot of the prospects that have visited with the Raiders, a lot of the guys that I look at and say, man, that'd be a really good player, just like Chris Johnson, are probably in that 36 range, right? Right there where the Raiders could select in their second round, and they can't take everybody. But Chris Johnson did visit on Wednesday. Along with Chris Johnson, the Raiders also had a visit in from Florida defensive line, Caleb Banks. So there was two big-time ballplayers in town that was according to Ryan Fowler from the draft network. And the thing with Caleb Banks, it's not one that I'm sitting here pounded at the table saying, yeah, I think the Raiders should go and get him. The Raiders should draft him. That'd be the guy I look at in the second

3:10.7

round. I think that visit was more of a let's see where he is medically, right? Caleb Banks is a guy who's a big time prospect. He's a guy that no doubt would be a first round pick if he didn't have a foot issue. And I'm very much in the camp of stay away from guys with injuries. And I don't

3:26.3

care if they check out medically. I don't know. pick if he didn't have a foot issue. And I'm very much in the camp of stay away from guys with

3:25.4

injuries. And I don't care if they check out medically. I don't care if someone says, oh, yeah, that guy's going to be good to go. I'll just give him a little bit of time by training camp. He'll heal. I mean, whatever line we've always heard, right? All this guy's going to be the steel of the draft because he's going to drop because of the injury.

3:39.0

He'll be fine.

3:39.7

He's going to have a long career.

3:40.6

He's going to be all pro.

3:41.4

I don't want any of that with nothing to do with any of that.

3:43.8

If they have an injury... deal with the draft because he's going to drop because of the injury. He'll be fine. He's going to have a long career. He's going to be all pro. I don't want any of that with nothing to do with any of that.

3:43.8

If they have an injury coming into this draft process like Caleb Banks has, nothing against him.

3:49.4

Let him be someone else's steal. That's how I look at it. Let him be someone else's steal.

3:53.8

The Raiders can't afford to take those chances. Now, if they had a cupboard full of talent, if they had a bunch of dudes that they knew, okay, hey, this guy could sit behind him, Caleb Banks could sit behind them and then allow him to grow. And if he works out, he works out, great. If he doesn't, that's okay too. Then fine. But they don't. They don't have that situation. They haven't had that situation in forever, right?
