off of all the conversation that we've been having here over the last couple of weeks, so we'll get as many in as possible as we close things out. Segment number two, you'll hear from Daniel Jeremiah from the NFL Network. You heard from him on Friday's show. get a little bit more just to kind of like I say get you ready for the scouting combine this week is one of my favorite weeks of the year being here in indianapolis just because i know the draft process really i mean it's all year long but it really begins this week officially so uh if the if the draft is your thing and of course the draft should be your thing with the raiders having the number one overall pick not that it's a big surprise of where they're going to go.

2:01.9

This is really when it all gets started, and that's coming up this week. So we're excited about that. We'll hear from Daniel Jeremiah coming up in segment number two. Segment number one, just news and notes as we always do. And we'll go ahead and jump into it after I tell you about the title sponsor of the show, which is Fandul. Use your profit boost on the NBA future and get entered for your chance to win a trip to the NBA finals.

Play your game with Fandu, the official sports betting partner of the NBA. So as I mentioned, I'm definitely not in Studio Q, not in Las Vegas in Indianapolis, a very cold Indianapolis. Boy, there's a big difference for being in Vegas and being here in Indie. Man, I'll tell you. Got on the plane. I want to say the temperature was probably 60-something, maybe even close to 70 in Las Vegas. Got off the plane, it was 25. You want to talk about a culture shock? I was like, good God, it's cold, but it was, and it is. And there's a lot of snow all over the place, not snow on the road, so it was pretty easy to get pretty easy to get the rental car to the Airbnb where I'm at right now. And this will probably be my studio queue for the next week. I'll be at the Indiana Convention Center throughout the course of the day. I'll do my local radio show on Radio 920 on Sair Roughness. I'll do that from the convention center. That's where all the podium action will be. That's where you get to run into coaches and GMs and analysts and have a lot of great guests. It won't be quite like the Super Bowl, but it's like Super Bowl light, right? So it's not as busy as a Super Bowl, but it's still kind of got that same action. But the difference is Radio Row at the Super Bowl is open 24 hours, 24-7. Like the whole week is just open. So no matter what time you want to go in there, you can. Here at the Indiana Convention Center, they normally want you to get out around 8 o'clock Eastern Time. So my local radio show, and let's say roughness, wraps up around 8 o'clock Eastern time each and every day. So they're probably going to want me to get up out of there about 8.30. So I'll hustle to the Airbnb where I'm at right now, and I'll do my ESPN show Game Night and then knock out the podcast from here as well. For the most part, it's pretty good. It's accessible. It's a little bit hollow because there's no carpet, but we'll do the best that we can throughout the course of the week. But I'm very excited for the opportunity to be here and being able to bring you everything I can, Raiders-related, all week long. Now, I did want to give you a couple updates real quick on Sunday. The Raiders did continue to add to Clint Kubiak's coaching staff, and for the most part, it's pretty much set in stone. There's a couple more positions that need to be filled, and now their offensive run game coordinator has been filled as they decided to go ahead and hire Mario Gibbereel, and I believe that's how you say his last name. I'm going to have to double check because I don't want to go saying his name wrong, but he is the offensive run game coordinator. He's actually a Las Vegas native. You know, he graduated from the University of Nevada. He played on the Rebel's offensive line from 2004 and 2008. So there you go. UNLV through and through. And now, you know, I know that he didn't play at Legion Stadium for playing for UNLV, but that's kind of cool that UNLV plays at Allegiance Stadium, and now he's going to be coaching at Allegiance Stadium. But he enters his sixth season coaching the NFL, joins the Raiders after the last two seasons with the Jaguars, spent the 2025 season as the defensive assistant for a unit that ranked as high as the league's number one run defense allowing just 85.6 rushing yards per game. The Jaguars finished with the most passes defense and second most interceptions in the NFL last season. And so now he flips over to the other side of the ball and he's going to be the offensive run game coordinator. He's got a lot of familiarity going all the way back to Kansas with Clint Kubiak. So, again, it's just one of those things. He's one of those coaches. It's kind of like what Lincoln Kennedy said before, these coaches, you can kind of, you know, they're by title on paper, but I mean, really, they just are able to man a certain position, man of a certain group, and be able to lead them. And that's going to be the ultimate goals. So there you go. Mario Jumber Real is now the offensive run game quarter. Still,

5:31.6

quarterback coach needs to be had, and the Raiders will be pretty much set. We will talk to GM John Spitech on Tuesday. He'll be at the podium on Tuesday, but we'll get to get him off to the

5:35.7

side. If you've been rocking with this show for a while, you know what that's like. We get to go either in a room or we get to go

5:41.0

to another table and just the local media, the ones that cover, you know, the Raiders on the daily. We get to kind of pepper them, kind of a little Q&A with them for, you know, probably about 45 minutes to an hour, whatever the case may be.

5:52.1

So I'll bring you some of that really good stuff.

5:54.0

That'll be on Tuesday, and then Clint Kubiak will have that same opportunity, but we'll do that on Wednesday from one of the hotels here in Indianapolis. So again, it's really a blessing to be able to have that, you know, that the local media feel and be able to get, you know, a little bit of sit-down time with the head coach and just basically peppering with any kind of questions from obviously the upcoming draft to just a team in general. And of course, there'll be plenty of Max Crosby conversation as well. You can guarantee that. We also found out on Saturday. I think it was Saturday. It was over the weekend. Adam Schefter from ESPN tweeted out that Fernando Mendoza projected number one overall pick. Fernando Mendoza will not throw at the combine this week per source. He will throw at Indiana's Pro Day on April 1st when the school has multiple pass catchers that Mendoza wants to help showcase. So not a big surprise. I quote tweeted and said there's no reason for him to throw here in Indianapolis. And for the most part, these top guys haven't been doing that anyway.
