And I'm your other host, Lady Gwynnevere. Today we have a presentation we've wanted to give for a long time and one that we hope you'll be as excited about as we are.

It's time for a deep dive into a central piece

of the backstory setting up the main saga of a song of ice and fire. That's right, it's the

tourney at Harenhall and the year of the fall spring. So we'll begin today by considering

what the false spring means in the story and from a meta perspective,

as we discuss the strange and perhaps magical seasons in Westeros.

And then we'll work toward the infamous tourney at Harenhall,

an event that helped change the course of history in Westeros,

the prologue to Robert's rebellion and the fall of

the Targaryen dynasty. We'll start by setting the stage and discussing the political background

as the realm came to be greatly concerned about the increasingly mad habits of King Ares I.

From there, we'll walk through the early months of the year of the fall spring before arriving at the tourney,

the grandest of occasions where lords, ladies, knights and singers flock to the Rivalens,

apparently to celebrate the name day of the daughter of Lord Walter Went of Harenhall.

But what was going on behind the scenes at the

tourney? We'll consider the idea that there were secret conspiracies afoot, even before the

tournament started. With the stage set, we'll dive into the events of the tourney itself, with a

special focus on the role of a certain mystery
