And I'm your other host, Lady Glenn. Today we have an episode for you all about Dornish Prince Quentin Martel.

We hear there are some readers who don't rate those Quentin chapters highly and wonder why he's in the story in the first place.

To you, we say, don't fear we think this will be an interesting episode covering a lot of ground we haven't yet trodden,

which we've arranged into the most satisfying format.

First of all, we'll start by looking at dawn and its history in order to give some context

to Quentin's quest when he travels east from dawn. We'll talk briefly about old

dawnish history and then focus more on the Robert's Rebellion era that provides a lot of bedrock

for Quentin's story. Then we'll consider Quentin before he gains a point of bedrock for Quentin's story.

Then we'll consider Quentin before he gains a point of view.

He's seldom mentioned before a Feast for Crows, but in Feast, despite his absence from that book,

he's a huge part of his sister Ariane's thinking as she plans her audacious and misguided queenmaker plot to crown Princess Marcella. We'll walk

through Ariane's motives with regard to Quentin. Next, we'll jump into a dance with dragons

where Quentin has four chapters, as well as being an integral character in a handful of others.

We'll walk through them all and try to understand what

he was thinking as he came up with another audacious Martell plot, this time to steal a dragon.

There will be a lot of focus on the concept of Quentin's grand adventure as a fairy tale gone wrong.

And finally, we'll consider Quentin's legacy after his agonizing death,

with two dragons flying wild over Marine as a giant battle begins,

and his father Doran's plans in absolute ruin.
