Yeah, hi there everyone and thanks so much for being here.

Today we're going to give you an in-depth look at a highly

relatable character many of us hold dear to our heart. It's Samuel Talley.

Yeah, we are very excited about this one. We're going to begin with a brief history of House Tarley,

where we'll gauge the weight of expectation placed on Sam's Young shoulders. Then we'll take a look at Sam's early years

as he struggles and suffers under the formidable shadow of his hard and overbearing father, Randall Tarley.

Next we'll pick up Sam's story from his introduction in the training yard of

Castle Black, analyse how Sam's prior treatment affected him from the outset and follow his arc as he gains a

POV and tries to overcome his self-confessed cowardice when he ventures north of the wall on the Great Ranging.

From there we'll take a look at Sam's journey from the wall to Old Town as he endeavors to look after Gilly and a baby while continuing his transition into manhood aboard the

cinnamon wind.

And when we finish looking at his story from left to right, examining his problems and growth

along the way, we'll consider one of his key literary influences

in J.R.R. Tolkien's Samwise Gamgy.

And finally, we'll look to the future and contemplate what might be in store next for this wonderful character in the winds of winter and beyond.
