Yeah, hi there and we're very very excited about this episode

as it's the first part of a series that we're calling the winds of winter primer.

We're going to focus on different point of view characters and parts of the map in each episode with the objective being to recap and evaluate all the threads, theories and arcs for our listeners as we await the release of the winds of winter.

And as a spoiler alert, we'll say that we'll be including analysis of all the released

Wins of Winter preview chapters in this series. We will try largely to ignore the show,

aside from those moments that we know came directly from George,

but please realize that we have seen it and whether we like it or not,

it has influenced us as it has everyone. But we are a book-centered podcast and in this

series we'll try to focus solely on the text and the author's word. George himself

has said that the show both did and didn't spoil the story and there are many

plot lines and characters that we'll be focusing on that fall way outside the show's scope. They remain a never-ending amount of reasons for book readers

to get excited about the winds of winter, and there will undoubtedly be many fresh surprises

buried in its pages.
