Hi again, everyone. Welcome back to Prenzel Bell for our second edition of

Inside Michigan Hockey Special Treat for us today. Matt DeShaps, who is the new assistant

coach for Brandon Nerato and the University of Michigan. And we're going to ask him where he was on March 29, 2003, when we returned.

And what do you remember about that game?

That was one I kind of wanted to block out a little bit.

He played for the main black bears, and he played for Tim Whitehead,

who had taken over the program after the very sudden death of Sean Walsh,

who was, by the way, Ron Mason's son-in-law or stepson-in-law, right?

Right, okay. Go ahead. I'm sorry.

No, it was, for us, I believe it was my sophomore year, you know, we had a lot of hopes in the season and then coming to Yost and having to play in that

environment, I still remember how difficult that was. And it's something that now that I cherish

on the other side, you know, walking out on Saturday and Sunday and almost pinching myself to
