For those of you who may have been living under a rock this past week, there was a massive

firestorm of media coverage beginning Monday, March 19th, 2018 2018 regarding allegations of sexual abuse at the MTC the

Missionary Training Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

located in Provo, Utah and not just any kind of sex abuse, but sex

abuse allegations leveled at the president of the Missionary Training Center.

The Missionary Training Center at the time when this allegation was made back in 1984,

or more specifically when this allegation was made that is alleged to have happened in 1984,

was the one place through which all missionaries going to serve in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter

Day Saints went in order to receive training.

If an English-speaking missionary was going to an English-speaking mission, they would be at the MTC for four weeks.
