Broadcasting behind enemy lines

Tonight's episode part Part 2, of Lies, Dam Lies, and Statistics.

In Part 1 of this podcast, we established the historical fact that in the last 40 to 50 years the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

has seen itself and publicly and repeatedly proclaimed itself as the fulfillment of the prophecy in Daniel chapter 2 of the stone cut out of the mountains

without hands that would roll forth until it had broken all the kingdoms of the earth and had filled the entire world.

This was during a time of unprecedented and phenomenal church growth in membership.

Church Presidents, including Spencer Kimball and Gordon B.

Hinkley, proclaimed that the church would continue to grow until it filled the entire

earth. We ended part one with the question of what will current church

leaders do and what are they doing now that church growth has substantially

decreased and is on the point of flatlining.

What do they do with this backdrop and this background

and this historically accessible record even on the church website

of statement after statement by church leaders saying the church would continue to grow

until it filled the whole earth. How will they deal with this crisis that church growth is decreasing now.

To the point that in 2016 church growth was the worst it has been in over a century.

In fact, 2016 marks church growth even using the church's own statistics as the worst it has been since the year

1909.

So in answer to that question of what the church leaders will do, well the first thing that they tried to do was not talk about it, not emphasize it, not mention it to members of the church.
