Tonight's episode, General Conference Post-Mortem, the April 2022 edition.

While General Conference for April 2022 is now in the can, and now it's my time to look

at what was said by the leaders and officers of the church in the different sessions and

make commentary as I think appropriate.

This is something that I have meant to do many times in the past, sometimes I've gotten

around to it, other times I have not.

But now that I'm trying to focus more of my time on the podcast, I wanted to make a special

effort to go over the different talks in each session of General Conference.

The Saturday morning lineup was pretty impressive, it started off with none other than President

Russell M. Nelson giving the introductory comments and welcome to the audience.

By the way, is it just me or does President Russell M. Nelson seem to talk more often

in general conference than any other past president, at least to my recollection?

It seems he has a lot to say and he wants a lot of opportunities to say it.

And in his very first address to the audience on Saturday morning, President Nelson talks

about preaching the gospel of peace, at least that's the name of his talk.

He recognizes the war in Ukraine that is going on, though I don't think he actually mentions

the word Ukraine, it's pretty obvious what he's talking about and he also mentions the

fact that he's aware that the global pandemic still affects our lives.

But not to worry, President Nelson has a solution for both of those problems and here's

how he puts it.
