We start this episode with Breaking News. A Georgia prosecutor has officially dropped the racketeering case against President Donald Trump and others for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in the state,

closing the chapter in a legal battle that was once seen by many as a serious threat to Trump's

political future.

The prosecutor in the case, Peter Scandalakis, wrote today that the case was so complex

that getting it in front of a jury before, quote,

2029, 2030 or even 2031 would be nothing short of a jury before, quote, 20209, 2030 or even 2013-1 would be nothing

short of a remarkable feat.

He added that trying co-defendants while awaiting the end of Trump's term would be, quote,

illogical and unduly burdensome and costly for the state and for Fulton County.

Peace talks are continuing to try to end Russia's war in Ukraine.

But while those discussions continue, there's one conversation that's

riling Washington. Bloomberg reports that it has reviewed an October 14 audio recording of a call

between U.S. Special Envoy Steve Wittkoff and top Russian foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushikov.

In the transcript, Wikov gives advice on how Russia's President Vladimir Putin should

approach a call with President Donald Trump, implying he should flatter Trump to win approval.

The transcript sparked concern among some GOP Russia hawks on Capitol Hill, who say Wikov was

too much under Russia's spell, including Representative Don Bacon, who called for him to be fired.

And CNN's Paula Hancock says Ushikov doesn't seem happy about the leak either.
