So John, we were just reminiscing about all kinds of stuff.

I want the world to know, if you don't mind, point privilege, that Harvard University

Press is going to print a second edition of my 2002 book, The Anatomy of Racial Inequality,

which were the Du Bois lectures that I gave at Harvard in the year 2000, they're going

to reprint it.

It's become a classic, John.

Two decades later, the press decides that they need to run off another, hopefully many

hundreds of thousands of copies of my book.

And I'm in the thrills right now, I'm writing a preface, a new preface, and having to go

into a whole lot of stuff, which is not necessarily what we want to talk about, but I do want to

start out by patting myself on the back because since you write so many books, at least they

can reprint what it was that I wrote 20 years ago, I'm still trying to keep up with you,

John.

But that book was better than most of the ones that I've written.

And I want to see it reprint with that great preface because I love that book.

Believe it or not, given how we felt about each other back then, I felt that.
