Both Chris and Andy have been participants in our truth, love,

speakers and modules. Now let's get to our conversation with Chris Brooks and Andy Crouch,

as introduced by John Stone Street. I don't know if you guys even need an introduction. Andy is a tremendous thought

leader, works with Praxis. Andy has given us two or three articles just in the last two or three

months that have been shaping for so many organizations, including the Colson Center. Chris Brooks is

a pastor in Detroit at Woodside Bible Church and also has leads equipped with Chris Brooks every day on Moody

Radio, which is a wonderful call-in radio program. So gentlemen, thanks so much for being a part

of this conversation tonight. Chris, I want to start with you. Give us the foundational

starting point to even understand what we've seen over the last week. I know

that's a hard question. Can you do that in 30 words or less? Could you at least give us kind of the

foundational categories that we need to start with as Christians? Yeah. I think I would frame it this way, John, that if we,

who are believers in God's sacred word, believe that each individual is an image bearer of God

and carries with them intrinsic value. If we would call ourselves, as many of us do, pro-life Christians,

then to see the excruciating video of a man dying, as at this point we know,

three police officers put the weight of their bodies on him as he gasped for air, as he cried out

for mercy, as he begged for his life to have those pleas ignored, to have community residents

crying out for his life to have those please ignored.

It should not only be heartbreaking, but it should be absolutely devastating.
