this is the second of the two rewind episodes that I have added into the schedule because I was a

little bit poorly last week, so I needed to do some catching up with some rest. I am 100% fine

now, but this was just in the schedule and it meant

that you guys got a new one on Monday and you guys will be back to your new episodes again next

start here. The style has shifted. It's progressed. I'm really proud of the old

episodes and I'm really proud of this episode, but it is in a very different style. And so with that,

let's get on with the episode. At around 8.30pm that night, after Kim had been on board for

around an hour and a half, she jokingly

texted Olly, saying, quote, I'm still alive by the way, but going down now, before adding

that Peter had brought cookies and coffee and adding, quote, I love you. This was the last

contact Kim had with the outside world.

It was a mild Friday morning in August 2017, and the still waters in a bay south of Copenhagen were frantically disturbed as the shouts and screams of a man rang out towards the shore.

A private boat making its way just across the bay soon heard the man's shouts and acted

quickly to rescue him from the cold waters.

The white, middle-aged Danish national was Peter Madsen.

A celebrated submarine builder, aerospace engineer and entrepreneur, who was actually a local

celebrity, having worked for the previous 30 years on impressive engineering projects, including

co-founding Copenhagen suborbital, which was basically a rocket-making company.
