Welcome to the Hard Man Podcast. I am your host Eric Kahn. Well I got to say it's a

strange moment that we're living in especially for the church. When you take a closer look and you examine the state of the church today, it's pretty hard to be encouraged.

At this given moment, pastors, elders, and church leaders are all caving simultaneously to societal pressure.

It's the pressure to posture and virtue signal to the religion of the new left.

You see the church is full of retreat. Everywhere you look, the

troops are falling back and people are falling in line with the world. Some of

those pastors have marched with Black Lives Matters, a completely

anti-Christian organization. Others have joined the rank and file to pay homage to critical race theory, intersectionality, or to laud the merits of white fragility.

Our country as a result is being ruled by the mob and it seems that few if any men are willing to push back

to speak up or let alone stand firm in the face of this adversity.

Well this week a friend Jacob Pippin who wrote an article for me on Eric Khan.com

he sent me a copy of a sermon that Robert Lewis Dabney preached

after the death of General Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson.

Now as I read this sermon late at night with my whiskey in a cigar, I was moved to tears

by the courage of one man, Stonewall Jackson, who was willing to stand like a stone wall against the enemy's advances.

He was willing to pay with his own life for a cause that he believed in so dearly.

He was a man so convinced and rooted in the sovereignty of God that he was full of unassailable courage in the face of the fiercest battles and

fighting out on the field.

I want to ask an important question in today's episode.

Where should Christians look when the church is in full retreat?

Where should we look?
