Now today's first entitled parent story is absolutely mental. We're going to find out exactly

what happens when an entitled family at an ice rink tries to interrupt some professional skaters.

Mum books the ice rink for the wrong day and expects us to share. For some background,

I am an adult figure skater and I practice in a big

group of other adults. There are skaters going from beginners up to former elite skaters. During Corona,

the public rink we usually skate in has been closed and occasionally we've rented a private

rink for an hour to skate. It's a lot more expensive than our ordinary

practice, but you do what you must. Also, it's incredibly hard to get these time slots since the

demand is so high. Skating is a corona safe sport, no worries. Only eight of us go on the ice,

and we all change outside. It's all correct by our laws. A few months ago, we'd rented the ice and

arrived at our time. Since we are responsible and change outside, we couldn't see what was happening

inside. Once me and one of the other skaters were ready to go onto the ice, we headed inside.

But by the rink side, we found about 10 parents and something like 15 to 20 children aged 3 to 6 years one of the mums

the entitled mum of this story approached me with a worried expression are you the ones that rented the ice

yes ah you see we were just informed that we booked the wrong day. Apparently we booked next week this time, but we're here today. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. What a bummer. The mum then looks at me and the other skater. Is it just the two of you? The others are still tying their skates on outside, and only the two of us had come inside at this point. No, unfortunately it's a whole group of

us. Oh, can't we spit the ice half and half? Uh, no, we're not here to joy skate. We're practicing

seriously. For several reasons. The first and foremost, it's incredibly dangerous. If I run into a child,

I'm going to hurt it badly and I risk cutting myself too. But I mean, it's your kid. Do you want its face sliced up? Now, I would never, ever let my non-existing kids on the ice during a serious practice. Secondly, we rent the rink to be able to practice freely. Half the rink only makes it impossible to practice your program. And thirdly,

children usually drag a lot of mud onto the ice, either on their overalls or the parents on their

shoes when they walk onto the ice to help them when they fall. Delt and mud is a big no-no for

skaters. It'll wear them out quickly and will have to pay for re-sharpening.. Okay, so at this point I kind of felt sorry for them. We all screw up sometimes and it sucks.
