We are having a great conversation with Ryan Busy who is the author of Gunfight, my

battle against the industry that radicalized America.

I mentioned a little bit earlier, Ryan, one of the chapters that really made a lot of

sense to me and I think it's a trigger for a lot of people is how do we begin to reframe

this conversation despite the efforts of the gun lobby, the NRA, you know, whacked

out Republicans to begin to push back on the bullshit narratives that are used to justify

doing nothing and trying to change the system.

One of the things that I've made great note of and you talked about the political pressure

in this chapter exerted by young people.

I watched and was inspired by what happened after the storm and Douglas shooting.

When those students took it upon themselves not to have a repeat of other mass shootings

where everyone thought some prayers, oh my God, the children and then do nothing.

These kids went and protested.

They sat in the offices of Florida legislators and they eventually got some reforms done.

Speak a little bit to that, speak a little bit to calling out the bullshit and the role

in particular that movement politics and I don't mean that in sort of the pejorative

way that some people like to talk about it but seriously genuine movement politics that

is inspired and is organic.
