So I've got a question as it relates to that.

Is there anything that you would change, adapt from this vantage point where many churches, I can speak for hours, spent months of last year in an online-only format.

Is there anything that you would adapt in the book to better fit this day?

Sure, yeah. I've been asked that question a lot in recent months, understandably so.

You know, I think there's nothing about the ethos of the book, the core tenets of the book that I would change.

In fact, if anything, what the past year of this pandemic, as our church community has also been forced by, you know, counting the response to be solely online,

although now in March we are moving toward in-person gatherings

because the county is finally allowing us to do so.

Thank God for that.

Yeah, we can't wait.

We can't wait.

But yeah, if anything, what this past year has done for me, it's affirmed and reinforced

the ideas that I propose in the book.

I think that most people, even the strongest proponents of digital church or digital

ecclesiology, I think most would agree that what this past year has revealed to us

is that one, it's not the same and two, that it falls short.

It falls short of the ideal vision of what it means to be the church.

There is certainly something lacking, something missing when our church experience, and church is more than experience, of course, but when the body of Christ is limited to engaging only online.

So if anything, you know, I think the past year has affirmed some of those ideas.
